Playing around with PBWiki

In my experience with adding my blog to the Favorite blogs section of the PLCMC site I encountered very little resistance and it did not take any time at all. If all changes to wiki pages are this simple I can see where some problems develop.

So, whats in a wiki?

After checking out the different sites and forms of wiki, I feel the best matches for libraries would be ones with passwords to avoid vandalism or inappropriate peices of mis-information which seems to be a con to the format of the wiki.

Web 2.0 Library 2.0 Where will it take us?

Although the majority of the perspectives stated are positive, alsomst all of them have a very realistic tone and ideas to them. I feel that overall " Only Time Will Tell" when it comes to the electronic future of libraries and Web 2.0.

Getting not-so-technical with Technorati

When exploring popular blog, searches and tags, a great span of information is retrieved. The topics vary in thier coverage and are shown by "authority" and time of posting.

Tagging, folksomonies & social bookmarking in Del.icio.us

Tagging in such programs such as Del.icio.us can be great ways to organize bookmarks AND hand researh tools, epecially with the comments portion included.

Anything Technology Post

It can be very overwhelming looking at all the differnt technology communication forms out there, but sometimes it is nice to take the time to adventure through some really cool sites like Flickr.
